Catsy is a product information management and publishing platform that centralizes product data management and publishing. I created an 'A - P1' master page (for front pages, because of the binder): I would like to put those two separate pages together, just the way they are as separate ones, with different inside and outside margins. The elements in the master appear in all of those pages. This is my document with two master pages together (what didnt work): This was my provisory solution. Pages can automatically be populated with product images, description, tables, and prices using Catsy. They work as little templates that help you to share different elements with pages in your document. This prevents overlap when automation is brought into play.įor example if you design a longer header then it will be necessary to go into Layout > Margins & Columns and extend the margin so that data won’t be sprayed on top of them. Page margins are important because Catsy templates are sprayed within them, and headers and footers exist outside of them. To apply a master to pages, select one or more page using shift, right click, and click Apply Master to Pages. From here you can duplicate the existing master or create a new one. To create another master page click the more options button in the top right of the pages panel. To exit the master pages view double click on a page in the pages panel. Good things to include on the master page are the header and footer and other elements that you want to be persistent and don’t change from page to page. You will notice the pages in the entire document expand, while the elements are in the original size. Change the Width to 8 in and the Height to 6 in. To change the page size, check the Preview box on the bottom left. As you can see there is a master spread comprised of a left and right page. Here you have various options you can change, starting with page numbers, sizes, margins, bleed, and slug. To add elements to it all you have to do is double click one of the pages. Open the pages panel and you will see the default A-Master. You can create multiple different master pages for a document. Like backgrounds, elements on master pages show up behind other elements you add to the page. If you made a mistake in your new document setup, you can easily change the margins and guides.
